Beaches:
There
are numerous beaches locally ideal for swimming and windsurfing. The Broadmeadow
Estuary is within 3km and is a popular area for windsurfing and sailing. One can
hire equipment at the estuary.
Parks:
There are numerous parks in the area . A
visit to Malahide Castle with its famous model railway (the largest in Ireland)
has always been very popular with everyone. Newbridge House and Demesne has a
working farm which you may walk around and experience some traditional irish
farming culture from the past. Ardgillan Park with its beautiful sea views over
skerries is highly recomended. All are within a few miles of Evergreen.
